DESCRIPTION
Jeans (Denim) is a rugged cotton twill fabric where the weft passes under two or more warp threads. Traditionally, the warp is dyed indigo while the weft remains white, creating the signature faded look on the reverse. Most denim is a 3/1 right-hand twill, which gives it extreme durability and a diagonal ribbed surface. Lightweight (4–9 oz): Used for shirts and summer dresses.
Midweight (10–13 oz): The standard for most fashion jeans and jackets.
Heavyweight (14 oz+): Rugged, raw denim that requires a "break-in" period.
