DESCRIPTION
Maglia Fiammata is the Italian term for Slub Knit (or Slub Jersey). In the textile world, "Maglia" refers to knitwear/jersey, and "Fiammata" (literally "flamed") describes the irregular, textured appearance of the yarn. When knitted, these "slubs" create a beautiful, organic, and striated effect on the surface. It looks slightly heathered or "flamed," giving it a more rustic and artisanal feel than standard smooth jersey. Because of the irregular thickness, the fabric is often very light and airy, as the thinner sections allow for better ventilation.
